World Berry Congress will be held online

It was decided to transfer the World Berry Congress in 2020 to the Internet platform. The previous plans of the organizers were to hold a "live" event on December 7-9 in Rotterdam (Netherlands), but a new date has been announced - December 10.

As East-Fruit writes, while continuing to serve as an important meeting point for industry participants, Global Berry Congress Live will provide everyone in the fresh berry supply chain with a valuable chance to connect with key players in this category.

The online event will feature the same program of interviews, discussions and presentations, and the same opportunities for communication and interaction with other delegates, speakers, exhibitors and sponsors.

“We are confident that the Global Berry Congress Live can be very helpful for people in the berry business, allowing them to share best practices, especially lessons learned from the current coronavirus crisis, and prepare for sales and marketing campaigns in 2021,” commented Mike Knowles. Global Berry Congress Program Manager.

It is noted that events in Europe, as well as significant travel restrictions in force around the world, made it impossible to host the congress as a "live" event in 2020.

“None of us knew the fallout from this global pandemic when the World Berry Congress was postponed in March,” said Chris White, managing director of Fruitnet Media. "The health and well-being of everyone who participates in the event remains our main concern."
